How Did I Get Free Domain for Blogging as a Beginners

Here, I want to share my experience about 'How did I get free domain for blogging as a Beginner '.

When someone like to start blogging, he needs to get domain or subdomain first.

I did start my blogging with subdomain with '.blogspot.com' extension. Later on I did get lots of domain free of costs.

How did I get an idea of blogging?

When I went through a video on YouTube which was related to 'start blogging and earn money', something came to my mind that 'I also have capabilities to write articles in some areas'.

Then I decided to start blogging to share my knowledge, skill and experience through the internet.

I started searching and collecting ideas to start blogging. Before that I had already started my YouTube Channel and got google AdSense approval.

During my internet research, one important thing that I learned is for blogging, sub/domain is a must.

I also know that domain is more valuable in comparison to sub-domains to generate money through blogging.

Finally, I came to a conclusion that I need to get at least a domain if I want to start blogging and make money online.

When I was in learning stage, I did not want to pay any costs for any domain. Therefore, I spent my searching time to get free domain.

To get domain without any cost, I did follow and went through some of the following steps:

First

As a beginner in blogging, I went through google search for related articles.

I studied some of the articles related to getting free domain.

I did search with questions and keywords like 'how to get free domain', 'free domain', 'domain for free' etc.

It has given me an idea that there are possibilities of getting free domain.

In general, most popular domain with .com, .net, .org, .edu, .online, .tv, .biz extensions are found as paid domain which has more value. These are known as top-level domains (TLDs).

Second

I went through related videos on YouTube. By spending time to watch related videos on YouTube, I did get some ideas of getting free domain.

Third

I read and went through various videos to understand differences in between free domains and paid domains.

I knew some pros and cons of free domain. As a beginner, I analyzed to get through free domain instead paid domain.

Four

When I searched different domain provider who provides domain with free of costs, I found freenom.com (also known as .tk) one of the better free domain providers.

I searched for some domain as of my interest. It was showing that the domain was available.

When I clicked on 'get it' button, it displayed 'not available'.

Whichever I tried to get by clicking on 'get it' button, same 'not available' messages displayed.

Then I searched for the reason of happening so in google and YouTube. I found the reason behind of happening so.

Then, I typed a domain as of my interest. It says the domain is available with .tk, .ml extension for free.

You need to understand that it means the domains are available for free but those area are not for getting it by clicking on 'get it' button.

I just typed the domain with extension that are available.

It did show Selected with 'Checkout' option.

I clicked on 'checkout' button.

I did choose period for free as 12 months. Up to 12 months only, the domain is available for free.

When I clicked to 'continue', it guided me to sign up and I signed up for free.

With signing in, I did get 3 more domains with extension .tk & .ml. totally free of cost.

In this way, I did get domain with .tk extension for free of cost for 12 months period.

You can follow the same way if you are beginner in blogging and want to get domain free of cost for 12 months.

Five

There might have some risks of free domain as well.

In my analytical knowledge, free in this universe means there may have some lacking.

Those types of free domain are not top level domains (TLDs) in the internet.

Therefore, I decided to get top level domain (TLD) with .com extension later on.

From the perspective of progression in internet and make money online, I understand that top level domains are important and more valuable.
