This article guides you on exactly how you can
load collateral in a TMS account. As you know, Your TMS account is also the
account in your stockbroker.
You can call it either the TMS account or the
broker account. The meaning of both the TMS account and the broker account is the
same.
Once you have opened the broker account or TMS
account, you can now buy and sell shares.
If you only want to sell shares that you have
owned through IPO apply, you do not need to load collateral in TMS account.
Instead, if you want to buy shares or stocks
from the secondary market, you need to load collateral in TMS.
By loading collateral, you can do stock trading, especially buying. Without loading collateral, you cannot buy shares.
What is Collateral?
Collateral is the amount deposited in TMS
account. In terms of share trading in Nepal, it is a kind of deposit amount in the
TMS account for buying shares.
In other words, collateral is a kind of
prepaid amount before buying shares from the secondary market. Collateral
should be loaded or deposited in your TMS account.
Collateral in TMS
You can easily load collateral in TMS for
which there is a separate menu to load collateral in TMS. To load collateral,
you need to have money in your bank account and technical knowledge of loading
collateral in TMS online.
Loading collateral in TMS online is a very
easy process for which you need to have a bank account and the deposit amount
in your bank account.
Now, you can explain about collateral in TMS right.
Loading collateral in TMS is also called in short, the collateral deposit.
Now, coming to the main point, how to load
collateral in TMS online?
How Can We Load Collateral in TMS?
We can load collateral online mainly in two
ways.
1) 1) Load collateral online through the Connect
IPS.
2) 2) Load collateral online through the
bank account in Global IME bank.
The first way to load collateral in TMS is
through the Connect IPS account in which your bank accounts are connected or
linked. You can link multiple bank accounts in your Connect IPS account.
From the Connect IPS account of anyone, not
only your Connect IPS account, you can load collateral in TMS. It means you can
use the Connect IPS account of your family members, friends, or any other
relatives to load collateral in TMS.
The second way to load collateral in TMS is
through a bank account in Global IME bank. If you do not have the Connect IPS
account or you don’t want to load collateral through the Connect IPS account of
yours or of anyone, you should have the Global IME bank account to load
collateral.
If you don’t have a Global IME bank account
and don’t want to load collateral from Connect IPS, you cannot load collateral
in TMS online.
Load collateral through Connect IPS.
To load collateral through the Connect IPS
account, you just need to follow the following simple steps.
How to open a broker account and how to open TMS
account is the same thing. Bothe are opened through Nepse’s share trade management
system.
Go to the ‘Fund Management’ menu, which is at
the left side column among other menus, and click on that.
You will see three sub-menus. Go to the ‘collateral
management’ sub-menu to load collateral and click. You will four more options
under collateral management.
Go to ‘load collateral’ and click. You will be guided to an interface where you need to fill up the information about ‘select bank’, ‘payment type’, ‘amount’ and ‘remarks’.
In the select bank section, you will see two
options. It will guide you to choose one of the two options of loading
collateral online.
a) Global IME bank limited (GBIME) and
b) Connect
IPS (CIPS).
You will select Connect IPS.
In the amount section, you need to fill up the
amount to load in your collateral. Then write some remarks like load TMS, or
deposit etcetera. Then the submit button will be highlighted and click on
submit button.
It will ask you for confirmation. You will
click on ‘YES’.
It will redirect you to the Connect IPS
interface. You will enter your Connect IPS user name and Captcha character.
Then enter the password of your Connect IPS account and click on the
highlighted button.
You will see the details of your request of
collateral load amount. At the bottom, you will have an option to choose the
account. If you have multiple bank accounts connected to your Connect IPS account,
you need to choose one of the bank accounts and click on submit.
Once you click on submit, you will receive an
OTP number on your cell phone. Enter the received 6-digit OTP number and click
on okay.
A pop-up message of a successful transaction
will be displayed on the screen. If the successful message is displayed on the
screen, loading collateral is completed.
You have to wait for some 3, 5 minutes to make all transactions completed and to show your deposited collateral amount in your TMS account.

Load Collateral in TMS
Load collateral online through the bank account in Global IME bank.
The other option of loading collateral in TMS
account online is through Global IME bank account.
Same as loading collateral amount through Connect
IPS, you need to choose the option ‘Global IME bank’ in the select bank option
after clicking on load collateral sub-menu.
As like collateral load in TMS through Connect
IPS, you will redirect to your Global IME bank’s online apps for further
payment process.
You need to enter your user name, which is
your mobile phone and the password. You will receive an OTP to make the transaction
complete. Just enter the OTP and click on OK.
The payment successful message will appear on
the screen, which means your process of loading collateral in TMS is completed.
After some minutes, refresh your TMS account.
You will see the loaded collateral amount in
your Nepse TMS account. All is done, you can now purchase the shares online.
Load collateral offline
There is an option of loading collateral
offline as well if you do not want to load collateral online through either one
of the options - Connect IPS or Global IME bank account.
For offline collateral load, you have to visit
the broker’s office and request the broker for the deposit of cheques. The
broker officer will do the necessary arrangement to load collateral in your TMS
account after depositing the cheques in his bank account.
In this way, you can easily load collateral in
